Part 1: Redeemed for Joy

In his greetings to Philemon and his household, Paul acknowledges his joy in Philemon and how well he is serving Christ through hosting the church in his home and serving as a leader among the church. There is joy because of Philemon’s redemption. This sets up Paul’s command to also receive joy through the redemption of Onessimus!
